Dr Pam McKay

Dr McKay is a Consultant Haematologist at the Beatson, West of Scotland Cancer Centre and an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of GlasgowSchool of Medicine. She has a specialist interest in lymphoma and is actively involved in lymphoma at a regional and national level. She is currently a member of the NCRI Lymphoma Clinical Studies Group and the low grade lymphoma and Hodgkin’s lymphoma Clinical Studies Subgroups and is a member of the BSH Lymphoma Special Interest Group. She is a strong supporter of clinical trials and is principal investigator for many lymphoma trials (commercial and non-commercial) at the Beatson. She is West of Scotland Managed Clinical Network Clinical Trials subgroup lead.

She has an interest in guideline development and is an executive member of the BSH Haemato-oncology Guideline Task Force. She is lead author and co-author on a number of BSH guidelines (mantle cell lymphoma, nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma, DLBCL and PCNSL). She has been involved in the development of Regional Clinical Management Guidelines for most lymphoma subtypes.

She is a member of the medical advisory panel for the Lymphoma Association and contributes to writing and updating the charity’s lymphoma information booklets.
